[haflingerfriends] Re: The best feeling

LOL, it doesn't take guts to ride in the snow, at least you get a soft landing if you need it. In fact I was most upset that Jim had cleared the snow in the roundpen, I just asked to clear a path TO it. I don't know the last time Alto was ridden, certainly not since he has been here, so I would have prefered more snow.

I should also learn a bit of trust, having not actually seen Alto under saddle, I had to trust Dawns say so that he would be fine, and it's hard for me to trust. Stupid really because everything Dawn has said about her horses is true, so I should of trusted her say so a while back.....sorry Dawn!!!

I remember this type of hackamore back in the day as well, looked a little less scary than the 7 or 8" shanks on the western ones. I'm not sure how humane they are, I think that there is a lot of potential to hurt a horse if you don't have them set up properly, or if you are rough with them, but that is the same with everything!
