[haflingerfriends] Re: Preaching to the Choir

You got it Marilyn,

Having fun with my horses is what keeps me going. I am not going to worry about every little thing, and saftey is always there in the back of my mind. Heck I do things around the horses without even thinking about it by watching their body language and such, something as simple as seeing them move their foot while brushing them and I automatically move my foot out of the way from getting stepped on. lol. That just is a given the more you are around horses you just do stuff like that. I am not a kid anymore and when people preach to me about 'safety' and other things around horses it get old when you hear the same thing over and over and over.....again. lol.

I love my 'kids' and enjoy showing them off. Hell Aladdin is still half haflinger and deserves recognition for being mentioned on this list. I mention him also on the gypsy forums and gyspy sport horse forums. He is the best of both breeds.

Mine that I breed are papered yet people still get their panties in a wad over it. lol. So sheesh, lets enjoy each others videos, pictures, stories, what have you, and stop with the dang negativity out there.

Or, organizing in some way to require licenses to breed horses. I'm not against responsibly breeding out-crosses. People breed unfit purebreds, as well as mixes. I'm not into trendy pets. I'm just tired of this topic. Nothing new is being said.
