You are so right! I've been waking up the last two nights thinking about the haffie team going back through the auction after today. Thank goodness, I got an email from Christy saying that the gelding's breeder sponsored him and they were working on donations for the mare and had an approved home for them. I'll be sending money. There are just so many every week more and more. I know everyone's tired of the no breeding lecture, please, please, please don't put another life on the ground until some of this supply gets taken up. High supply+low demand=horses are going to be trucked to slaughter by the thousands. More than half of all my animals are rescues, some because of legitimate reasons and some because of stupidity.
Ok, I am on record as this is one subject I AM bull headed about!! I've never wanted to offend anyone on this list, just make all more aware how huge the problem is and it can happen to you! Just as I've talked with every woman I can about premarin and prempro, my view is that after you know the facts about it, if you can handle that and be okay with it, that's your business, just be informed.
Thanks all and I do agree that I am more than sick and tire of this cold, nasty dreary weather and as I see the crocus shoots poking out of the ground I can believe in spring!
