Re: [haflingerfriends] small hay bags

Thanks Alana, the second one, the  nibble net I know the horses would just rip it to get to the hay!!! My friend just ordered the one from Dover and they said it is being redesigned because the top opening is also too small to get the hay in. Thanks for your prompt reply. Francine

depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for regular hay net style, these work. i got one for my horse. It is made out of nylon instead of cotton, some folks dont want to use nylon for safety reasons. My mare bit a hole in the bag that is mouth sized. But the bag still slows her down.

Otherwise, i have been interested in the nibblenets. i have not gotten one, but it was recommended by someone on this list.

Subject: [haflingerfriends] small hay bags

Hi Gang, I know the subject of small hay bags has been discussed but I can't find the info on the site. Can anyone tell me where to buy hay bags that are small enough ( openings) so that the Haflingers will take a while to eat the hay?? It's going to be a long winter, eating lots of hay, big bellies in the spring!!! LOL Thanks in advance. Francine
