It was much easier posting pictures than typing out an example of 'modern' vs 'classics'
Someone posted on here that there isn't a difference between the two, because the bone on the legs are the same blah blah blah. If you can't see the difference between a stocky haffy and a leaner one, well, I guess I'll keep my mouth shut there :) If a 15hh haffy has the same bone size as a 13.2hh wouldnt that make it a leaner horse since it is taller? I would think if a 13.2 hh haffy had a 7" bone then to stay in comparision a 15hh haffy should have a 8" not a 7"?
I have gone through that whole stallion list on AHR looking for a stallion to breed to one of my mares to a few years ago, then I found my stud colt 2 years ago, in fact I put his sire on my 'drafty' list 'Newsmongers MJE' He is looking more and more like his sire every day!! My next move is to get a 2yr old filly by Max JMN this spring and cross the two down the road. what a match that'll be!

Who rode Rosie for 3 hours yesterday at the beach on trails, loping and jumping....bareback!! to get ready for the cowboy race. Thankfully not as sore as I thought I'd be this morning. lol FYI Jumping is WAY easier to do bareback than with a saddle...from what I found out yesterday jumping 1-2' logs. lol

May I point out that along with the "drafty" types were more of the Haflingers with the beautiful chestnut color and high contrast manes and tails. When I see a Haflinger on a poster , etc. it is always the ones with the rich chestnut coat and white mane and tail. To me personally that says "Haflinger" not pale Palamino. But then you saw my preference in the Rose Parade ;-). Victoria da Roza
