When I hang a bucket on an eye hook, I use large swival snaps and caribiners on the bucket. I often wonder if a horse will catch their tooth (yes, had that happen once) on the snap on the snap. So far so good. Most of my horses just get their supplement in their hay manger.
Geri in cloudy southern oregon, about to go clean corral/stalls and feed horses, who will eagerly come in from the 1 inch grass.
