What happened on the hay mix? I'm looking into my next batch of timothy down here and one of the local suppliers was telling me about a hay called Teff. I looked it up and it comes from Ethiopia. Sounds like it may be grown up around McCloud. From what I've read, the sugar content can vary depending upon the growing conditions. I'm asking the supplier if the load has been analysised as I want to keep the sugar content at 10% or less. I also checked out the Sudan, but i'm not sure of the nutriental content. It does have have lots of fiber. Have you looked at the safergrass.org website?
Have any others of you used Teff?
Thanks, Laura of Cal.
(I do have enough timothy for at least 2.5 months)
