four this spring and we need to start them with a trainer
. We have a filly and a gelding who are sister/brother by their sire
Midnight van de Edelweiss and first cousins through their sister dams, both
daughters of Alpen Konig.
Our foals Alpen and Edelweiss have matured into solid young horses.
They've been raised in the backyard, know their ground manners, and been started
under bridle, surcingle and cinched saddle.
I had knee surgery recently and have not been able to get back in the
saddle, but have put my full weight across their backs while on a lead and they
just walk on like it's normal to be carrying a hefty old woman like a sack
of wet sand.
These foals are for my grandchildren. Their trainer MUST be someone who
knows how to train a Haflinger to be SAFE for a child. I'll be available to
fetch and carry if needed.
Our farm is off Hwy 112 between Port Angeles and Joyce. We have a flat
area here we fence for a ring. If anyone has any referrals for a child-proof
