[haflingerfriends] In Defense of the Haflinger Magazine

In my opinion Emily continues to do an excellent job of putting together a good, readable, nicely-illustrated magazine that showcases the Haflinger breed in all of the many disciplines that the breed excels in. I look forward to reading every issue cover to cover. The magazine is a great deal more professional than what we had when I first joined the AHR almost nine years ago and Emily is mainly responsible for all of the upgrading in quality. She does all of this work for no pay and (I'm sure) a lot of headaches.

It's one thing to say the magazine should have this or that article and quite another thing to get someone to agree to write the article. I've written a few things over the years for the magazine and was thrilled to see my words in print. It's something we might all consider doing. The magazine doesn't write or edit itself!

I must admit to being someone who has let her AHR membership lapse, mainly for financial reasons. I had to pare down costs and unfortunately that meant letting some of my memberships go. But I will always pay that $45 per year to get the Haflinger magazine and I hope it always be there for me!
